Paralegal
Chloe Howells is a Paralegal at Alun Jones Family Law, where she supports the firm’s solicitors in advising clients across a wide range of family law matters arising from relationship breakdown.
She joined the firm in September 2025 after graduating with First Class Honours in Law from Nottingham Trent University. During her studies she developed a strong interest in family law and gained valuable practical experience assisting litigants in person at Nottingham Law School’s Legal Advice Centre. This work provided early exposure to the realities of family disputes and strengthened her commitment to helping individuals navigate the legal process with clarity and confidence.
Before joining the firm, Chloe worked as a Paralegal in criminal defence. This role provided her with a strong grounding in client care and experience of working in demanding and high-pressure environments, skills which translate well to the sensitive and often complex nature of family law matters.
Chloe has a particular interest in disputes involving unmarried couples and the developing area of cohabitation law, including claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA). She follows ongoing discussions around potential legal reform in this area, particularly proposals aimed at introducing greater legal protections for cohabiting couples.
Chloe is fluent in both Welsh and English, enabling her to assist Welsh-speaking clients and supporting the firm’s commitment to providing accessible legal services. Having been homeschooled during her GCSE years, she independently completed her studies before progressing to university and pursuing a career in law.
She intends to undertake postgraduate legal training in due course as part of her long-term ambition to qualify as a solicitor.
